Welcome to Marepol!

Starting Marepol in April 2026? Here you’ll find everything you need to know to kick off your studies smoothly at TU Dortmund University.

Dear new Marepol students,


Great to have you on board! We’re excited that you’ve chosen the Master’s Program Religion, Ethics, and Politics and can’t wait to welcome you to TU Dortmund University for the summer semester 2026. To help you settle in, we traditionally host an orientation week during the first weeks of the semester. Our student assistants are currently putting together a great program for you - details will be available here soon.

If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to help and look forward to meeting you in Dortmund! 

30 March, 14 - 16 p.m. : Digital advising session on course selection via Zoom. For the Zoom details, just send us a message. You can also do so while the meeting is already in progress :)

tba (a day between April 7–10):. Our student assistants will meet the new students and inform them about the timetable, LSF, BOSS, etc. There will also be a campus tour and we are looking for a date for a pub night. You are cordially invited!

13 April 10.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m. : Our student assistants will meet you, the new students, and provide information about “How to Marepol”  (the timetable, LSF, BOSS, and more). There will also be a campus tour. The event will take place in room 2.410 in the building Emil-Figge 50.

14 April, 13.45 p.m.-14.15 p.m.: Faculty welcome event for new Marepol students. The dean, the vice dean, the dean of studies, the directors of the institutes and the lecturers of the Marepol courses in the summer semester would like to introduce themselves and get to know you. The event takes place in room 4.238 in Emil-Figge 50. 

tba (possibly 15 April): An introduction session with SchuDS, the Psychological Student Advisory Service, Amiga and other Advisory Services. 

 

Under Documents and Guides you can already find the course offerings for the summer semester and other helpful documents like the study plan, which gives a good overview of the MaREPol courses, and a guide on how to use the course registration portal LSF! Please find a detailed description of course selection in our FAQ.
