Students who will start Marepol in October will find here some information about the start of their studies. We look forward to welcoming you soon at TU Dortmund University.

Dear new Marepol students,


Thank you for choosing to study in the Master's Program Religion, Ethics, and Politics! We would like to welcome you to the TU Dortmund University for the winter semester 2024/25! Traditionally, in the first weeks of the semester, the faculty and the student council organize an orientation week for the new students. Therefore we would like to invite you to the following events and activities:

23 September, 2.30p.m.: Digital Schedule Consultation via Zoom with Ian Singendonk (Marepol Research Assistant). Please contact us via mail to receive the zoom link

7 October, 11.15 a.m.:  Campus tour with Ian Singendonk; meeting point: main entrance of Emil-Figge 50, left door

9 October, 11.45 a.m. Faculty welcome event for new Marepol students. The dean, the vice dean, the dean of studies, the directors of the institutes and the lecturers of the Marepol courses in the winter semester would like to introduce themselves and get to know you. The event takes place in room 0.436 in Emil-Figge 50. Please find more information here.

10 Ocotber, 7.30 p.m.: pub evening with other Marepol students. Where: Bar "Platz an der Sonne" (Gutenbergstraße 38, 44139 Dortmund)

All Marepol students are cordially invited to all events. We look forward to seeing you here at the TU Dortmund University and our Faculty!

Under Documents and FAQs you can already find a sample schedule for the winter semester 2024/25 and other helpful documents like the study plan, which gives a good overview of the MaREPol courses! For more detailed information about starting at Marepol, please send us an e-mail to marepol.ht@tu-dortmund.de. We will then add you to the mailing list for Marepol students and send you information about the course selection.

For general information about the start of studies for international students, please visit the Start of studies page of the International Office or discover StartSmart - the game for international first-year students. You can also participate in Come2Campus, a multi-day orientation program for international students who are about to start their studies at TU Dortmund University.  It takes place annually at the beginning of each winter semester.

We wish you a good start in your first semester at Marepol!
